Project Details: Santaland Diaries
For the 2017 Holiday Season, Actors Theatre wanted a special piece to promote the return of Santaland Diaries to the stage. The play features Crumpet the Elf, an unemployed actor working at Macy’s Santaland, which he characterizes as the “coldest circle of retail hell.” The marketing team at Actors gave us a blank canvas for creative, so we ran with it!
From crafting concept and copy to laying down fake snow and real train sets, we enjoyed every martini-soaked step of the way. The end result is a mischievous grip of spots that works off of the playfully jaded, holiday-fueled fun of the stage production.
Project Details: Christmas Carol
Actors Theatre’s annual rendition of A Christmas Carol is a beloved classic, and the marketing team at Actors wanted to refresh their broadcast and social spots.
With only a script and photos from previous years’ productions, we wanted to conjure an ambiance of whimsy and wonder through fanciful animation of the stunning visuals and unforgettable characters, accompanied by evocative design elements and 3D typography – all of course while tipping a hat with reverence to the legendary tale.
